  • Functional electrostimulation is a constantly growing branch of research for the rehabilitation of paralyzed people. Denervated muscles can be excited by transcutaneous stimulation and trigger functional movements. The junior research group around M. Eng. Marcus Löffler has been working for quite some time on achieving optimal stimulation results with the help of a specially designed stimulator. A measuring station was developed and evaluated for an opti-mal procurement of measuring results and a reconstructability of these. In measurements with five test persons, optimal stimulation electrode positions were researched and the applied force on a suction bellows was researched by the help of the stimulation. The measured val-ues were recorded by a pressure sensor and evaluated by Arduino. The test showed that the measurement results were reproducible, but that the force generated was only a fraction of the manual coarse force.
