N2  - Im ersten Teil der Arbeit wird der Begriff 'Maker' / 'Maker-Bewegung' analysiert. Über die Entstehungsgeschichte des Do-It-Yourself werden unterschiedliche Motivationen für das 'Making' nachvollzogen. Neue Kommunikations- und Fertigungsmöglichkeiten, kollaborative Strukturen und gesellschaftliche Bezüge bilden die Grundlage für den vorgeschlagenen Begriff 'Maker-Kultur'.
Im zweiten Teil werden anhand entwicklungspsychologischer Ansätze die Potenziale der 'Maker-Kultur' für den Bereich der kindlichen Entwicklung und Bildung thematisiert. 
Im dritten Teil findet der Transfer der Erkenntnisse auf das Produktkonzept von mobilen Gestaltungsräumen für Kinder statt.
N2  - What does the term 'Maker' / 'Maker-Movement' mean? By focusing on the development of the DIY-Culture, the Thesis summarizes different motivations, that also occur in the 'Maker-Movement'. Which potentials does 'Making' hold for present and future societies? Collaborative aspects new communication and production infrastructres and combining Work by hand with digital skills. This leads to the question, why 'Making' should play a central role in education. By looking at psychological aspects, the Thesis transfers these potentials into the framework for developing mobile Makerspaces for Kids.
