Development and control of matrix electrodes for functional muscle stimulation

  • The electrical stimulation of muscles is widely used in medicine today. A more accu-rate and effective electrical stimulation of the muscles can help the patient well. The goal of this thesis is to develop matrix electrodes for the forearm. Its function is to control the hand and fingers so that the expected action is completed by signal ma-nipulation. The author develops a method for positioning the forearm muscle based on the anatomy and verifies it through experiments. A rating model was also developed. The method developed in this work has proven to be effective. It can probably be perfected through big data experiments. As a basis for the electrode design, experiments were also performed with multiple electrodes. The results show that multi-electrode stimulation can be designed to trig-ger functional actions. The results are important for the application of stimulation.
