  • This thesis deals with the development and analysis of possible solutions for the optimization of the intersection Hafenstraße - Südwesttangente in Nuremberg. Due to necessary construction work on engineering structures and increased demands on the junction, this must be re-planned. First of all, general basics are considered, the current situation is evaluated and corresponding action requirements derived. Below is a detailed description of four variant studies, which are calculated and evaluated according to the same evaluation criteria. Site plans and signal timetables were prepared for the planning approaches developed in the course of the diploma thesis. In the further course, the solution proposals are compared with each other in a comparison matrix according to the previously determined and weighted criteria, resulting in a preferred variant in the conclusion.
