  • EMS training has become more and more popular in recent years. It is often preferred to conventional training due to lack of time. It promises to achieve the same results with 20 minutes of training a week as going to the gym three times a week. Over four weeks, three volunteers trained in an EMS suit, three other volunteers represented the control group and trained without an EMS suit. Based on this study, the effects of the EMS training on the maximum strength of the quadriceps femoris and the extent to which the promises of the EMS providers are kept will be evaluated. In this study, modulated medium-frequency currents were used. The subjects performed light exercises during stimulation without additional weight. In the experiment it was shown that in two out of three test groups the maximum strength was increased by EMS training.
